Who makes it?

Shepherd Neame, founded in Kent back in 1698. The family-run brewery produces a range of different beers, including Spitfire, Bishops Finger and Whitstable Bay.

Where’s it from?

The brewery is located in Faversham, in the heart of Kent.

What does it taste like?

It’s a light-flavoured bitter with local Kentish malt and hops. The beer has a biscuit taste.

What food does it work with?

Mild English cheese, such as Lanashire or Leicester, works well, as do simple deserts.

What else should I know?

This beer is only available seasonally, from September to November.
